Halow Project had been looking to go digital with their care records for a while. They had grown frustrated with the inability to track the person-centred goals of the adults they support. As well as the inability to tailor their previous system to fit their needs.
For management, there was a desire to improve their monitoring and compliance practices. They needed a better way to store and manage data. Nothing seemed to fit exactly what they were looking for. That changed when they saw Sekoia. They initially began using Sekoia in a trial period. Testing whether the system could match what the Halow Project needed.
It’s a significant change to go from paper to digital. There are a lot of new ways of working that need to be embedded within the organisation. Rethinking old ways of working and challenging assumptions about what digital can and cannot do.
“One of our team members was quite averse to the idea of integrating new technology. They had become quite set in their ways with other apps that we were using and at first not sure about the Sekoia system. After working with the management for a few weeks and showcasing what the system can do, they were fully invested in the programme and began sending positive feedback”.
Sekoia’s flexibility also means Halow Project can truly make the system their own. Johnny explains:
“It has been such a help in our company moving to digital records and being able to create our own forms and tasks to tailor them to specific adults is what has been the most beneficial for that adult.”
To sum up, what is Jonny’s advice to others?
