Today, Sekoia is used in more than 60 services operated by Frösunda Omsorg. One of those is Lidvagen, located in Upplands Väsby about 30 minutes from Stockholm.
Frösunda Omsorg calls their service users customers as a constant reminder to always keep them at the centre of what they do.
They provide person-centred care that helps service users create a well-planned life with structure and routines. To make their daily life as safe and fulfilling as possible. Staff encourages service users to live an independent life and their capabilities dictate the level of support they receive.
To do so, a lot of planning and information sharing is necessary. Specific information about each individual that receives support. For that, they use Sekoia.
In the Sekoia app, staff can see daily activities, a short description of them and when they are due. Staff can tick activities off as they go. They can even sign off on the delivery of medication. Reassuring nurses that all service users have received their medication on time.
“With Sekoia, we know everything is being done. Nothing is forgotten. And staff are always up to date on any changes with the customers.” – Robert, employee at Lidvagen.
He continues:
“Our customers who use Sekoia are very happy. They have replaced Post-it notes and paper reminders with the app. They think Sekoia gives them a feeling of predictability. They can see all their activities in the Sekoia app. It’s nice to see them so engaged and active.”
Service users can also get a login to Sekoia. Here, they can see a simplified view of what staff see. And only their daily activities. They can add activities and tick them off when they are complete. They can even do their own “documentation”. For example, taking a picture of their room after they cleaned up. Aiding their independence.
“It’s become so much easier with Sekoia. It supports me every day and makes sure I don’t get stressed out.” – Service user, Jacob.
